Are you nervous the moment you know that you have to speak to a group of people? Do you want to find a way to overcome that? Or simply you wanted to learn on how to maximise your presence on stage during a presentation?

Presenting “IGNITE THE STAGE” - a drama-based public speaking workshop that will help you overcome your fears in public speaking. Not only that, participants will have the opportunity to explore tools and techniques used by actors to bring out creative abilities and improve communications skills through use of body language, expressions and voice projections. This workshop is suitable for those who have no prior or little public speaking experience and wants to learn new techniques.

Why drama-based?

Using Drama in learning is not about creating actors but about providing people with life skills. Unlike classroom or theoretical learning, drama-based training session is set in an interactive, exciting and uninhibited atmosphere to encourage self-discovery. We believe that drama is also a good personal development training ground.

IGNITE THE STAGE uses a series of theatre exercises and practical approaches to help you master the art of public speaking. IGNITE THE STAGE comes in Half-day, One-day and Two-day workshops and each workshop-type covers different areas of public speaking:

• Using drama to overcome and managing nerves – useful tool when speaking in front of an audience
• Bring out the emotions in you – using body language such as expressions, emotions, gestures and postures
• Speak Like an Actor – you will learn techniques used by actors to deliver lines: moments, pitch, tone, speed, volume
• Basic Speech Construction
• Techniques for impromptu speeches – you have got to think on your feet, in case you are asked to speak without much preparation time!

“Think Like Captain Jack Sparrow” is a teambuilding programme based on the character of “The Pirates of the Caribbean”. The design and working idea of the programme revolves around the “Pirate Principles” we have created. The principles is not only applicable to the pirates but to the corporate world where life skills are important to avoid walking the corporate plank.
 
In this programme, participants will undergo several missions. Each mission could be used as an analogy of the work-plans. For example, by accomplishing Mission: Captain Sparrow’s Bridge, the experiences gained would enable participants to understand the importance of communication when they build the bridge as a team, as well as the importance of trusting the other team members when they need to link the bridge for the ball to travel across it.
